The Library of the University of Agricultural Sciences (formerly the Institute of Agronomy) in Cluj-Napoca, Romania is described. The collection has received very few Western publications since 1975 and a limited number of materials from the former Soviet Union and the socialist countries. Library services and computer applications have been hindered due to missing or inadequate hardware and software, lack of photocopying equipment, and insufficient funding for the library collection. Cooperation with other countries is based upon the exchange of publications agreements.
