Аннотация:
The Harvard Geriatric Education Center (HGEC) provides opportunities for geriatric education to visiting faculty trainees. A description of this unusual program accompanies data from follow-up evaluations collected via interviews with former faculty trainees one year and three years after their on-site training experience. As reported by former trainees one year after the training experience, the HGEC contributed to the development of comprehensive programs in geriatrics (31%), specific courses in geriatrics (26%), integration of geriatric content into more general courses (33%), enhancing the planning process for geriatrics (24%), additional faculty in geriatrics (35%) and additional students in geriatrics (41%). Preliminary data from Year 3 interviews indicate an even greater impact.
