The Family Practice Faculty Development Center of Texas organized and presented a workshop on Geriatrics curriculum development. Eight faculty physicians participated. In their evaluation, they indicated that the seminar helped them become familiar with Geriatrics curricular guidelines, taught them effective ways of utilizing community resources, and emphasized essential skills for teaching Geriatrics. Given that there is a great need to teach Geriatrics to Family Practice physicians, the content of this workshop gives faculty the skills to develop a curriculum in Geriatric Medicine.
