SummaryThis article follows on from a previous one by the same authors in which they considered a number of cases which had gone to judicial review and some of their implications for EP practice (Denman and Lunt, 1993). The present paper presents the results of a questionnaire survey of LEAs concerning appeals. These are considered in the light of current legislation and future practice and some implications for EPs are drawn out.
