AbstractThis paper examines the activities of the health administration of the Melbourne City Council in the period 1888-1918. This includes the responsibilities of health officers and their efforts to counter disease and other health problems in inner Melbourne during this period. The paper also looks at activities concerned with improving habitation standards. |
