| dc.description | This article attempts to assess the social impact of electronic home information systems, particularly videotex and teletext. Impact areas are analyzed within the framework of a categorization scheme that takes into account individual (personal) and group (social) goals and material (physical) and spiritual (psychological) goals.This study approaches the problem qualitatively, rather than quantitatively. The article includes an overview of the technology, some state-of-society assumptions and identification of several impact areas. |
