dc.description Abstract‘Feminist translators’ are so called not only because they translate feminist works, but also because they wish to imitate the original authors' writing processes as part of the translation process. In so doing, not only do they claim to utilize innovative translation strategies, but they also make theoretical claims which impinge upon certain conventional views on translation (for instance, they explicitly reject traditional views on ‘fidelity’.) This paper aims to investigate these theoretical claims with reference to an analysis of a feminist text and its feminist translation.
