AbstractThe following is a sketch of a syntactic model which I developed about 20 years ago for the description of Greenlandic words and sentences. It is (now) called ‘relation and Role grammar’ (rRg) because it takes the grammatical relations between words (or morphemes), and the ‘Actors’ in them, as its fundamental variables. In recent years rRg has also been applied to Finnish and tested with the computer. My current project even includes Danish syntax. rRg has been explained in a number of writings since 1975. But most are in Danish and only mimeographed, and the terminology etc. has changed considerably through the years. So the references below start only in 1991 for my part.
