Trade associations had always been considered authorities in their disciplines, but only recently have we seen any movement towards the introduction of libraries. The Indiana Chamber of Commerce has recently formed a library, and is finding that much of what it does is dissimilar from traditional libraries in its attempt to deal with a limited amount of space and a clientele that might never visit the facility. Colelctions come from a wider variety of sources, and more emphasis is placed on research. Technological advances allow both access to more sources and increased contact with distant clients.
