dc.description This paper discusses the need for better dissemination of AIDS-HIV information to the general public, particularly through the cooperation of public library and health education agencies, including AIDS service agencies in the United States. It outlines the service options and parameters available through public libraries and considers important issues involved in the interaction of both the public library, AIDS service agencies, and general health education organizations based AIDS-HIV information programs. It recommends action agendas, strategies, policies, and models for AIDS-HIV delivery for libraries and health information providers, particularly AIDS service agencies. It concludes by suggesting a need for cooperation and communication between these information and education enterprises.
