dc.description ABSTRACTAlthough the amount of electronic information pertinent to theological scholarship is growing., there is little published literature about how theological faculty members use and value electronic information. This paper presents a case study. It describes one training program, conducted at the Maryknoll School of Theology, that sheds light on the way that theologians react to new scholarly tools.Participants in the Maryknoll program responded positively to their experiences using electronic information. They found new information pertinent to their interests. The experience raised their opinion about the value of this kind of information and changed their attitudes about finding information.

Библиографическая ссылка In this paper I refer to persons who teach Christian theology, biblical studies and allied disciplines at a graduate level as theologians or theological faculty. Some faculty members make a distinction between religious studies and theology. The religious studies party tends to understand the theological enterprise as a fundamentally dispassionate, scholarly endeavor, while the partisans of theology tend to see the task of theology as critical reflection in the service of the Christian churches
