The major goal of this study was to learn whether or not is it possible to differentiate perceived sibling role relationships of sibling groups along two dimensions, problem and non-problem sibling groups. The researcher hypothesized a significant difference between problem and non-problem sibling groups in terms of sibling role differentiation, sibling role agreement, and sibling role location. No significant difference was found between the two groups on the role differentiation, agreement, and location scores. However, further analysis revealed that both groups differentiated roles among siblings to a great extent. Also, the level of role agreement among both groups was high. Finally, role location varied according to roles among both groups. |
