Describes the planning as well as the details of a computerized information system developed under the direction of the author at Georgetown University's Medical Center Library. An integrated approach has been taken, and the system deals with cataloging, circulation, serials control, acquisitions, interlibrary loans, accounting, word processing and a simplified version of MEDLINE. Costs and training aspects of the project are also included.
