30 K fast neutron and fission fragment irradiations of two fe-b type amorphous alloys

Abstract235<sub>U</sub> fission fragment and fast neutron irradiations induce, at 30 K, an important increase in the electrical resistivity of a-Fe<sub>80</sub>B<sub>20</sub> and a-Fe<sub>78</sub>Mo<sub>2</sub>B<sub>20</sub>. This increase anneals out partially when the samples are heated up to 300 K in two stages. An interpretation in terms of structural defects in the short range order of the amorphous alloys is presented.
