A survey is undertaken of organizations of differing sizes and representing a cross-section of industries to assess employ- ers' awareness, attitudes, and referral practices regarding behavioral (emotional and substance abuse) problems in the workplace. Impli- cations and future challenges, for Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) are discussed.
