This paper reports on results of a study that examined consumers' evaluation of health warning lables on cigarette packages in Canada. Some health warning lables were rated, overall, as more effective as well as more believable, convincing and reasonable than others. Analysis of the differences in responses by smokers and non-smokers is also presented.
