ABSTRACTThis manuscript challenges Big Six Tax firms to consider the merits of providing tax services to individuals and small businesses located in small towns. A strategic process that Big Six firms can follow to pursue the potential of small-town tax markets is delineated. Qualitative factors that should temper a decision by a Big Six firm to pursue small-town tax clients are presented.
